Midwater Range Bag

› Shooting is a sport where we need plenty of kit, and there’s a hoard of accessories to carry around that can make our session that much more productive. The obvious stuff such as targets, shooting gloves, a removable silencer, and even a portable chronograph, are all items on any enthusiast’s list that need to be transported. But once you also add in different pellet brands or batches, then the necessity for a suitable bag to carry all this gear around suddenly becomes obvious.
On show here is the Range Bag from a company called Midwater, based in Rochdale. The Range Bag is the perfect size to hold a significant amount of kit, without being over the top, so to speak. The bag is specified as being fully padded and lined, which means any contents are protected to some degree from knocks etc. It’s manufactured from Oxford fabric 600d waterproof material, which is reassuring, whilst the main compartment has a deliberately wide opening for the easy storage and removal of items.
There are two external zip-up pockets, one on each side, and a heavy-duty zip across the top. Wrap-around canvas-style straps reinforce the bottom, and a super-comfortable Velcro carry handle is also featured. Add in a 25mm shoulder strap, and it’s clear that this British-made Range Bag has been well thought out.
