At this year’s Airgun Expo I had the good fortune to bump into Dave Hutton of RangeSports.com, who introduced me to his company’s product line – and quite impressive it is too.

Pellet Safe Tins

RangeSports most famous product is probably the Pellet Safe Tin. These unique ‘clip top’ pellet tins have really caught on big time, in fact they have proved so popular that they have now been chosen by several pellet suppliers (Milbro and Edgar Bros. for example) as the tins for their premium brands. The lid of the Pellet Safe can be removed and replaced with one hand and will not come off in your pocket or bag, so no more spilling or losing those expensive pellets – especially if you have sorted, weighed and lubed a batch for competition. The Pellet Safe is the same size as a standard .177 pellet tin (65mm x 20mm) so will hold a full tin of pellets.

One thing that I didn’t know about the Pellet Safe was that the lid has a tactile rubberised ring on it, so when the lid is used as a tray for the pellet tin it will stop it sliding; I tried this and was surprised to find that you could tip it to a ridiculous angle before it would move. The Pellet Safe is priced at only £3.75 plus £1.00 p&p (UK).

Pellet Pouches

These pellet pouches are made from a hardwearing, waterproof nylon fabric and have a magnetic fastener on the flap so you can easily use the pouch one handed. They come as standard with an adjustable neck cord which means you can keep it off the ground when taking prone shots (ideal for HFT comps which sometimes get a bit muddy!).

On the back there is a two way rubber fitting which means you can use an optional arm strap or elasticated strap to fit the pouch to your arm, belt, jacket or even your rifle stock. The pellets won’t roll and rattle around, so less chance of damaging them. Assorted colours are available and can be personalised with your name or a logo (or your club, company or shop, etc.).

Scope sidewheel/turret labels

These handy labels are printed on vinyl so they are waterproof and hardwearing. They come with a selection of die cut numbers so you can easily apply your own range markings to your scope’s rangefinding turret/wheel. The labels have rounded corners and a slightly textured surface. Priced at £7.45 inc postage.

Range Mats

There are two versions of this range mat; one with a clear window (for ID or scorecard) and solid pocket, one without pockets. These mats are made in the UK from heavy duty waterproof fabric. They feature 10mm closed cell foam padding, a four panel folding design, and two webbing handles for easy carry. Nylon D-rings are also fitted for an optional snap hook shoulder strap. Prices are £65 - £73 depending on spec.

Bean Bags

A popular shooting accessory, bean bags are ideal as FT shooting seats or as rests for hunting or HFT. These bags are made from heavy duty waterproof nylon fabric which won’t split and crack, and are filled with polystyrene beads which can be topped up or removed via a zipped slot under the ‘grab handle’. Available in several plain colours and two camo finishes, the bags can also be personalised with an embroidered logo and/or name. Prices are £25 for the standard bag and £35 for embroidered versions.

Badges, Personalised Clothing etc.
